Online classes in week 51

CampusSport’s online classes continue in week 51! The instructed classes of the autumn semester were supposed to end on 13 Dec, but we have decided to keep on offering online classes next week too. You can find the schedule below. We informed earlier that because of music’s copyright issues we can’t save the classes for later use. However, some classes are held without music and those videos will be available after the class too. So far, in the Facebook group you can watch the following videos: Power Core, Just Kick, Body Maintenance and Hatha Yoga.

The instructions how to join the Facebook group where the classes will be streamed:
1. Request to join the Facebook group called “CampusSport online classes” (direct link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2849599928618483)
2. Send an email to info@campussport.fi with a subject: “Facebook group”. Give the following information so that we can confirm that you have paid the sports fee:
– your whole name
– your university email address
– your Facebook account
We will add you to the Facebook group after we have confirmed that you have paid the sports fee. You need to make the request to join the group and send the email at the latest 10 am the day you want to participate in a class for a first time.

Monday 14 Dec
4.15pm-4.45pm HIIT Heart Rate 30, Paula Mäkinen
HIIT means an exercise in which periods of heavy workload alternate with periods of recovery.  HIIT Heart Rate is a very intensive workout which brings you maximum benefits in a short time.
5pm-5.50pm Stretching in English, Alina Torbunova
Long stretches and mobility exercises for the entire body.
Equipment needed: a mat

Tuesday 15 Dec
4pm-4.50pm DanceFit, Marika Kumlander
DanceFit is a class which borrows styles from street dance to afro, Latin dances and traditional aerobic. Participation does not require a background in dancing.
5pm-5.50pm Vinyasa Flow, Ella Poutiainen
A dynamic yoga class where exercises are done in the rhythm of breathing. The aim is to improve especially mobility, muscle endurance and movement control.
Equipment needed: a mat

Wednesday 16 Dec
5pm-5.50pm Bodyweight Training, Paula Mäkinen
Bodyweight training develops endurance, strength, mobility and control of movements. In bodyweight training you mainly use your own body as resistance.
Equipment needed: a mat, if you wish, you can also have a kettlebell, dumbbells or any heavy item you have at home (e.g. a bottle or a canister filled with water)
6pm-6.50pm Barre Fusion, Iisa Niemi
Barre Fusion combines ballet barre exercises with exercises from body weight training, pilates and yoga. The result is an effective workout for the entire body that particularly strengthens the deep muscles of the body and improves body alignments. No earlier experience on ballet is required.

Thursday 17 Dec
4pm-4.50pm Body in English, Alina Torbunova
A class for improving your muscle tone. Includes a short warm-up, versatile muscle tone exercises and final stretching. Suitable for everyone, no difficult choreographies.
Equipment needed: a mat and a chair
5pm-5.50pm Combat, Marika Kumlander
The class contains different series of punches and kicks and other moves which increase your heart rate, inspired by martial arts and done to inspiring music. The class develops oxygen uptake and coordination ability. No earlier experience in martial arts is required.
6pm-6.40pm Flow Harmony, Marika Kumlander
Flow Harmony is a body & mind class that helps in concentration and relaxation. The class consists of different exercises improving balance and mobility.
