Get to know new people by wearing a friend wristband
We will test a new way to find friends while exercising at the sports shifts in Sport Sirkka and Educarium. If you are looking for new friends or people to exercise with, grab a red paper wristband from the customer service desk and put it to your wrist. The wristband serves as a signal to other participants in the shifts: you are welcome to come and chat with a person wearing a wristband. You can go and talk to a person with a wristband even if you don’t want to wear one yourself. The wristband will bring you and your new friend together, and the rest is up to you.
It is great if you can find new friends, but remember to chat before or after the shift and focus on exercising during the shift. Please note that the friend wristband is not a dating service, but a way to find new friends. Follow CampusSport’s safer space guidelines and be kind and considerate when using the wristband. You can remove the wristband during the shift if you want to. Please be careful when arranging meetings. We recommend that you arrange the first meeting in a public place.
There is a limited number of wristbands available, and we will test the concept until further notice. If the wristbands become popular, we will keep them in permanent use and a more sustainable solution will be found to replace the disposable wristbands. So, feel free to try out the wristband and give us feedback and suggestions.
