Mindfulness walk

Take a break from your busy day and step into a moment of calm. Welcome to a mindfulness walk with CampusSport’s sports tutors on Mondays at 4 pm – 5 pm. There is no participation fee and you do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate. You do need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku.
Mindfulness walking is a gentle practice that combines movement with present-moment awareness. Instead of focusing on speed or performance, we pay attention to our breathing, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment. This type of walking can help reduce stress, improve concentration, and create a sense of balance and clarity. The aim is not only physical activity, but also mental relaxation and a deeper connection with the present moment.
The first walk will take place on 30 March 2026 at 4 pm – 5 pm. The walks are planned to continue weekly until the end of April. You can participate in the walks regularly or occasionally. The walk starts in front of the Turku School of Economics (Rehtorinpellonkatu 3, Turku). From there, we will walk toward Kupittaa Park and return to the same meeting point. The sports tutors will be wearing black vests with “Sports tutor” written on them.
The walking pace is adjusted to suit the participants’ level. Participants do not need to have some previous experience in mindfulness walking. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring your water bottle with you. The walks are held in English.
If it rains a lot, the walk will not take place.
