Sports facility changes for the upcoming academic year
There will be changes to CampusSport’s sports facilities during the upcoming academic year. The Sport Sirkka sports hall and the Formis gym will be replaced by new facilities at the turn of the year. In their place, CampusSport will gain access to a new sports facility complex in the Trivium building in Kupittaa. At Trivium, CampusSport will have access to a gym and a group fitness studio. These facilities will be shared between CampusSport and Turku University of Applied Sciences.
The facility changes may affect scheduled sports shifts at Sport Sirkka in December 2026. In addition, it is possible that the Formis gym will be closed before the Trivium gym opens. Please take this into account when paying the sports fee.
Preparations for the new facilities are already underway, and equipment purchases have begun. Previously received customer feedback and users’ wishes are being taken into account when selecting the equipment. CampusSport is constantly improving its facilities and services, and feedback from users will continue to play an important role after the new facilities open.
