1. Spring Boost campaign 1 Apr – 29 Apr

Is this a familiar situation in the springs: there are loads of deadlines but little energy? CampusSport’s Spring Boost campaign brightens the end of the spring semester!

How does Spring Boost work? Participate in at least six CampusSport’s sports shifts in April and get our overall patch! You get a stamp from each sports shift that you participate. Collect stamps to a stamp card and switch the full card to a patch. You can get the stamp card from the customer service in Educarium or Sport Sirkka during the customer service hours starting from Monday 23 March.

2. Exceptions in the sports schedule and gym opening hours

  • Formis gym is closed on Tuesdays 17 Mar – 14 Apr 2026 at 19.00-20.15 due to Gym training for beginners course.
  • All sports shifts are cancelled due to Easter 3 Apr – 6 Apr 2026. The gyms are open normally.

3. CampusSport’s summer semester

CampusSport’s spring semester ends on 30 April and after that starts CampusSport’s summer semester (1 May – 31 Aug 2026). Instructed classes are organized from 2 May until 14 June. The gyms are open the whole summer. In addition, badminton and pickleball shifts are offered the whole summer.

The sports fee for the summer is 42 euros for students and 54 euros for staff members. The 30-day fee (23 / 29 euros) will be available in the summer too. The sports fee for the summer will be available for purchase in mid-April. The schedule will also be published then.

4. Regular shifts of summer 2026: tennis courts, badminton courts and sports halls

The application period for summer’s regular shifts concerning the tennis courts, badminton courts and sports halls begins in the week 12. A regular shift is your own group’s shift that takes place at the same time every week. The application period starts on Thu 19 March 2026 at 9 am. The last day to apply is Mon 6 April.

One person can apply for max. two tennis, two badminton courts and two sports hall shifts. The shifts will be confirmed by e-mail after the application period has ended. You do not need to pay CampusSport’s sports fee in order to apply for a shift. All staff members and students of the universities in Turku can apply. 50% of the players on the shifts must be from the universities in Turku.

5. Activities organized by sports tutors

Sunday walks with the sports tutors 22 Mar and 19 Apr
Join CampusSport’s sports tutors in a Sunday walk. The walking pace will be adjusted to suit the participants’ level. Sunday walks are free and there is no advanced enrolment. The next Sunday walks will be held on March 22 and April 19. Read more about Sunday walks in the News section on our website.


Tuesday run with the sports tutors starting form 24 Mar
Are you looking for running company? Welcome to a relaxed run with CampusSport’s sports tutors on Tuesdays at 5 pm – 6 pm starting from 24 Mar. Read more about Tuesday run in the Events section on our website.


Mindfulness walk with the sports tutors starting from Monday 30 Mar
Take a break from your busy day and step into a moment of calm. Welcome to a mindfulness walk with CampusSport’s sports tutors on Mondays at 4 pm – 5 pm. Mindfulness walks are free and there is no advanced enrolment. The first walk will take place on 30 March at 4 pm – 5 pm. The walks are planned to continue weekly until the end of April. Dance party Friday 10 Apr
Join CampusSport’s sports tutors to a dance party on Friday 10 April at 7 pm – 10 pm in Sport Sirkka (Sirkkalankatu 13, Turku). Welcome to dance as if you were in a night club – without actually being in a night club. There is no participation fee and no registration in advance is needed. 6. Upcoming competitions

CampusSport organizes several competitions during the academic year. You don’t have to pay the sports fee in order to participate.

Cooper
Time: 28 April 2026 at 10 am. Estimated length of the competition is one hour.
Location: Paavo Nurmi stadium (Paavo Nurmen puistotie 9, Turku)

Participation fee: No participation fee.

7. Lecture: Healthy body image 26 Mar

CampusSport, in collaboration with Turun Seudun Urheiluakatemia, is organising a lecture on healthy body image. The lecturer is Laura Mierlahti, and the lecture will be held on Thursday 26 March from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm at Educarium (lecture hall EDU 1). The lecture is free of charge. You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku. No advance registration is required. The lecture will be held in Finnish only.

8. SELL Student Games 22 May – 24 May

SELL Student Games 2026 is a sports festival for university students which will take place on 22 May – 24 May in Riga, Latvia. The event will feature 14 different sports, and participants are expected from all over the world. SELL Student Games have no qualification limits, and they are open to all higher education students (excluding open university or open UAS students). Registration closes on 21 Apr.

Student athletes studying in a degree program in one of the higher education institutes in Turku are eligible to apply for monetary support for covering costs of competition trips. The funding can be applied by individual athletes or teams. CampusSport decides on the payment of the support on a case-by-case basis. CampusSport grants are to be applied before leaving for the competition.
