1. Schedule for the summer published and summer fees available

CampusSport’s spring semester ends on 30 April 2026 and after that starts CampusSport’s summer semester (1 May – 31 Aug 2026). You can now pay the summer fee at CampusSport’s online store! The sports fee for the summer is 42 euros for students and 54 euros for staff members. The 30-day fee (23 / 29 euros) will be available in the summer too.

Included in the sports fee:

  • Instructed classes are organized from 2 May until 14 June.
  • Badminton and pickleball shifts are offered the whole summer.
  • The gyms are open the whole summer.

The sports schedule for the summer is published! The schedule is temporarily available only on the piece of news “Summer semester 2026”, as it is not possible to show the schedules for two seasons at the same time on our website.

2. Tennis courses for beginners

CampusSport organises two tennis courses for beginners in the summer 2026. The beginners’ course is meant for people with little or no experience in tennis. Courses have the same content. The courses take place in CampusSport’s tennis courts that are situated close to Educarium (Assistentinkatu 5, Turku).

Price of a course is 50 euros. You can attend a course without paying the CampusSport sports fee, in case you do not want to use other CampusSport services. You can enrol in the courses by paying the course fee at the online store of CampusSport. Enrolment to courses starts on Wednesday 22 April at 2 pm. The last day to enrol is 24 May.

3. Sports shift cancellations

  • Aurum gym is closed on Saturday 25 April 2026 at 6.00-12.00 due to deep cleaning.
  • There are no sports shifts on 30 Apr – 1 May 2026 due to Walpurgis night (Vappu). The gyms are open normally.
  • There are no sports shifts on 14 May 2026 due to Ascension Day. The gyms are open normally.

4. Apply to become CampusSport’s sports tutor for the academic year 2026–2027

Recruitment of CampusSport’s sports tutors for the academic year of 2026-2027 takes place 7 April-26 April 2026. Sports tutors are part of CampusSport’s low-threshold services that aim at making exercising as approachable as possible. Tutor is a peer exerciser, a student who encourages other students to exercise. You do not have to be an expert or a professional athlete, it is enough that you are interested in sports.

Tutoring season lasts for an academic year. The busiest time is from late August to early October and it is important that you are available during that time. Being a sports tutor is voluntary work and our tutors do not get paid. As a thank you, the tutors get a free CampusSport membership and they can participate in our courses and competitions for free. In addition, tutors get experience in organising events. It is also possible to get an employment certificate.

5. May Day cooper 28 April

CampusSport organises a May Day cooper on Tue 28 April 2026 at 10 am at Paavo Nurmi stadium (Paavo Nurmen puistotie 9, Turku). The event is free and all the students and staff members of the universities in Turku are welcome to join. You do not have to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate. The event takes place only if at least 5 people enrol.

In cooper test you run or walk a track for 12 minutes with the aim of covering as much distance as possible. You can do the May Day cooper as a test and just concentrate on challenging yourself. If you want, you can also enrol your result to CampusSport’s May Day cooper 2026 competition. The competition takes place only if at least 3 people enrol their results. Points will be given according to the cooper test table. One mixed series. The event lasts for approx. one hour. If it rains a lot, the event will be cancelled.

Enrol in the May Day cooper via the Entering page no later than 21 April.

6. Wild herb tour (in Finnish) 20 May

Welcome to a wild herb tour on Tue 20 May 2025 at 5 pm – 6.30 pm. On the tour, you will learn how to identify and use wild herbs, hear about everyman’s rights and find out what type of places are good for collecting wild herbs. The tour will be led by wild herb guide Hanna Pihlajamaa.

The tour starts from, and ends at, the entrance of Tyyssija gym (Inspehtorinkatu 12, Turku). The tour costs 9 €. You can pay the participation fee in our online store. You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you need to be a student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku. The tour will take place only if at least 10 people participate. Last day to enroll is 15 May. Note that the guide will speak only Finnish.

7. Activities organized by sports tutors

CampusSport’s sports tutors are volunteer peer exercisers who encourage the students and staff members of the universities in Turku to exercise more. All the events below are free and there is no advanced enrolment. However, in order to participate you do need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku.

Outdoor games evening 24 Apr
Welcome to sports tutors’ outdoor games evening on 24 April 2026 at 17.00-19.00 in Puolalanpuisto. We will play traditional Finnish ourtdoor games. Meeting at the main entrance of Turku Art Museum (Aurakatu 26, Turku). The sports tutors will be wearing black vests with “Sports tutor” written on them.

Sunday walk with the sports tutors 19 Apr
Join CampusSport’s sports tutors in a Sunday walk. The walking pace will be adjusted to suit the participants’ level. The last Sunday walk of this spring will be held on April 19. More information in the news section on our website.

Mindfulness walk with the sports tutors
Take a break from your busy day and step into a moment of calm. Welcome to a mindfulness walk with CampusSport’s sports tutors on Mondays at 4 pm – 5 pm. The walks are planned to continue weekly until the end of April. The walks are held in English. More information in the events section on our website.

Tuesday run with the sports tutors
Are you looking for running company? Welcome to a relaxed run with CampusSport’s sports tutors on Tuesdays at 5 pm – 6 pm. More information in the events section on our website.

8. Returning the key tag

If you won’t use CampusSport’s services in the future, you can bring back your key tag to support sustainability. There is no deposit. You can bring the tag to the sports service counters or you can drop it in the mailbox which is located by the sports service counter in Educarium.

9. Answer CampusSport’s feedback survey

User feedback is essential for us to improve the services. We hope that you have a few minutes to answer our feedback survey about the sports services. The feedback is collected anonymously. The last day to answer the survey is 10 May 2026.
