Cricket try out 25 Sep 2025
CampusSport’s sports tutors organise a free cricket try out on 25 Sep 2025 at 3.00 pm – 4.30 pm at Ingegerd court (Kanttorinpolku 1, Turku). You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you do need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku. No advanced enrollment. The instructions will be given only in English. The sports tutors will be wearing black vests with “Sports tutor” written on them.
Cricket is an old English bat-and-ball game, in which the aim is to score as many runs as possible. The game has similarities to baseball or Finnish baseball. The try out introduces participants to the basics of cricket. No previous cricket experience is needed, but it is important to note that, as most ball sports, this sport involves running and can be physically demanding.
Wear clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor exercise. There are no changing rooms or toilets at the court.
If it rains a lot, the try out will not take place.
