Sauna and cold water swimming

Date:

Join the sports tutors for a cold water swimming and sauna experience on Friday 7 November 2025 in Ispoisten uimaranta (Rykmentintie 51, Turku).

You can meet the sports tutors at the bus stop C2 at the market square at 16.20 and take the bus number 9 with them. The bus will depart at 16.30. The tutors will wear CampusSport vests, so they are recognisable. Participants will pay for their own bus fare. You can also meet the group at the sauna at 17.00. Participants pay their own sauna fee of 7€ (cash/card) at the ticket booth. You do not have to pay CampusSport’s sports fee in order to participate. No enrollment is required in advance. If you would like to join for only the sauna without the swimming it is also totally fine. Additional information about the venue is available on Turun avantouimarit website: https://www.turunavantouimarit.fi/languages/in-english/

After swimming everyone who wants is welcome to join the tutors for dinner at an easy-going restaurant at around 19.00. Participants will pay for their own dinner and decide on the restaurant together.

Note:

• The sauna is open also for other users during the event.
• The sauna is the same for both women and men and everyone needs to have their swimming suit on.
• There are keys in the dressing room lockers and no coins are required.
• Do not go alone into the water.
• The pier and walkways can be slippery.
• You can spend as much time as you want to in the sauna and water.
• Listen to your own body. Do not go ice swimming if you are feeling ill.

Bring with you:

• Swim wear and towel + a smaller towel, aka pefletti, to sit on in sauna
• If you have long hair, a hair band
• To wear outside: extra socks/flip flops/crocs/“swimming shoes”, hat/beanie and gloves (note: they will get wet)
• Shampoos etc. anything you need after sauna & shower
