Sunday walk in Ruissalo with sports tutors

Join CampusSport’s sports tutors in a Sunday walk once a month during the autumn semester. Walks are free and there is no advanced enrolment. You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you do need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku. The walking pace will be adjusted to suit the participants’ level.
The first walk will take place in Ruissalo on Sunday 20 September 2026. The walk starts from Marjaniementie bus stop at 12.00 and ends in front of the Botanical garden. The sports tutors will be wearing black vests with “Sports tutor” written on them. The length of the route is 4,5 kilometres. The route includes forrest paths, dirt roades and some climbs. You can bring a snack if you want to. The walk lasts for approx. 3 hours.
If you want, you can take a bus from Turku market square to Ruissalo with the sports tutors. The bus number 28 leaves from the stop A8 at 11.26. Tutors will return to the city center from the bus stop at the Botanical garden. Busses go approx. once every half an hour.
Wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes. Bring a water bottle. If it rains a lot, the walk will not take place.
