Wild herb tour (in Finnish)
Date:
Welcome to a wild herb tour on Wed 20 May 2026 at 17.00-18.30. Wild herbs are edible plants that grow wild in Finland’s nature. They are a real superfood, as they contain a lot of nutrients. Wild herbs can be collected for free for personal use almost anywhere, making them an inexpensive way to enrich your diet.
On the tour, you will learn how to identify and use wild herbs, hear about everyman’s rights and find out what type of places are good for collecting wild herbs. The tour will be led by wild herb guide Hanna Pihlajamaa-Lönnbäck. Note that the guide will speak only Finnish.
The tour costs 13 €. You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you need to be a student or a staff member in one of the universities in Turku. You can enrol by paying the course fee at the online store of CampusSport. Enrolments are binding and they cannot be cancelled. The tour will take place only if at least 10 people participate. Last day to enroll is 17 May.
