Guided mushroom picking tour 17 Sep 2025
Would you like to learn to recognise new mushrooms or is mushroom picking completely new to you? Welcome to a guided mushroom picking tour Wed 17 Sep 2025 at 4 pm. The guide will tell us how to recognise and use mushrooms and answer all our mushroom related questions.
The participants can pick mushrooms during the tour and cook them at home. The guide will also share some delicious recipes. The tour costs 31 €. You can pay the participation fee in our online store. You do not need to pay the CampusSport sports fee in order to participate but you need to be an enrolled student or a staff member in one of the universitites in Turku.
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours. The tour will take place in the Airikinpolku area in Paattinen. We will meet at the bus stop in front of Kreivilän koulu (Paattistentie 677, 21330 Paattinen). You can take busses number 21 or 23 from the Turku city center. Wear clothes and shoes that fit the weather and walking in the forest. Bring a snack and something to drink as well as a basket and a small knife in case you find some mushrooms. The tour will take place only if 10 people participate. Last day to enroll is 9 Sep. The tour will be held in Finnish and, if needed, in English.
We obviously cannot guarantee that the participants will find any mushrooms during the tour.
