Courses
CampusSport offers short courses with separate fees every semester. You can attend the courses without paying the CampusSport sports fee, in case you do not want to use other CampusSport services.
You can enrol in the courses by paying the course fee at the online store of CampusSport. Please note that everyone has to make the enrolment and pay the course fee personally. The course will take place only if the minimum number of participants is reached. The participants will get a verification on whether the course will take place at the latest three working days before the course starts. If the course gets cancelled the paid course fees will be returned. Course enrolments are binding and they cannot be cancelled. Course fees are reimbursed only in cases of illness against a medical certificate in case the customer misses more than half of the course meetings.

The last enrolment date for the courses that start in September (in week 39) is 14 Sep.
The last enrolment date for the courses that start in November (in week 45) is 26 Oct.
Bowling for beginners
Location: Kupittaa bowl (Kupittaankuja 1, Turku)
Time: on Wednesday 24 September – 22 October 2025 (5 times) at 18.30-19.30

Minimum number of participants: 9
Instructor: instructor from Turun urheiluliitto
We get to know the rules and the basics of bowling. No previous experience is needed. You can borrow bowling shoes from the bowling hall.
Cheerleading for beginners
Location: Turun Cheerleadingseura Smash, Manhattan Sport Center (Pitkämäenkatu 4, Turku)
Time: on Thursdays 25 September – 23 October 2025 (5 times) at 20.00-21.00

Cheerleading develops strength and body control. We concentrate on the most important part of the sport: lifts. We will get to know different lift techniques and learn creative ways of lifting. No previous experience in cheerleading is required.
Fitness boxing technique
Location: Sport Sirkka (Sirkkalankatu 13, Turku)
Time: on Wednesdays 24 September – 12 November 2025 (8 times) at 20.00-20.50

Fitness boxing is an efficient and safe form of exercise. In the training, we use e.g. focus mitts and boxing bags. The course meetings include a warm-up, technique exercises with a pair, an efficient workout and a stretching. We use CampusSport’s boxing gloves and focus mitts in the class, but you can also bring your own gloves with you. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience in the sport, but want to improve their technique.
Gym training for beginners
Location: Formis gym (Ajurinkatu 2/Läntinen Pitkäkatu 25, Turku)
Time: on Thursdays 25 September – 23 October 2025 (5 times) at 17.45-18.45

Instructor: Anni Toivanen
Participants will learn the basics of gym training. We will go through easy basic movements with both equipment and free weights. After taking this course, participants will be able to work out at the gyms independently.
Heels for beginners
Location: Flama Rauhankatu (Rauhankatu 15, Turku)
Time: on Tuesdays 4 November – 2 December 2025 (5 times) at 15.00-16.00

We concentrate on the techniques of heel dancing: walking, weight shifts and turns. The course meetings consist of a warm up, technique exercises and a choreography. Some previous experience in dancing is useful but you are also welcome to join the course without any experience. We recommend that you wear high heeled shoes that support the ankle but if needed, you can wear any high heeled shoes with intact top pieces and a relatively low heel.
Staff course: Gym training for beginners
Location: Formis gym (Ajurinkatu 2/Läntinen Pitkäkatu 25, Turku)
Time: on Thursdays 25 September – 23 October 2025 (5 times) at 16.30-17.30

Participants will learn the basics of gym training. We will go through easy basic movements with both equipment and free weights. After taking this course, participants will be able to work out at the gyms independently. Only the personnel of the universities in Turku can enrol to this course.
Twerk for beginners
Location: Sport Sirkka (Sirkkalankatu 13, Turku)

We get to know the twerk techniques that focus on hips and buttocks. The course meetings consist of a warm up, technique exercises and a choreography. No previous experience in dancing is needed.
Weightlifting for beginners
Location: Aurum gym (Henrikinkatu 2, Turku)
Time: on Tuesdays 4 November – 2 December 2025 (5 times) at 18.45-19.45

We get to know the techniques of snatch and clean and jerk with variety of exercises. In addition to bar techniques we will learn techniques of the basic power exercises such as squat, deadlift and overhead press. Weightlifting improves mobility, body control and fastness. No previous experience is required.
